CEC is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving the educational success of children and youth with disabilities and gifts and talents.This is a wonderful organization to join and because you can learn so much. The CEC Professional Development Services Team creates ongoing professional learning opportunities for special educators early interventionists, and others instructing and supporting children and youth with exceptionalities.

Teaching Tolerance provides free videos and lessons for educators. The lessons are detailed on topics that educators sometimes struggle with. Teachers can find thought-provoking news, conversation and support for those who care about diversity, equal opportunity and respect for differences in schools. The organization is dedicated to reducing prejudice, improving intergroup relations and supporting unprejudiced school experiences for the nation's children.

The National Association of Special Education Teachers is an organization dedicated to meeting the needs of special education teachers and those preparing for the field of special education teaching. This webiste provides resources for IEP development, transition services, legal information and plenty of other information that is useful for a speical education teacher or soon to be special eduaction teacher. The site also provides job listings throughout the United States.

The use of technology by children and adults with disabilities and functional limitations is ATA's mission. ATA encourages and facilitates the empowerment of people with disabilities to participate fully in their communities. This site also provides numerous resources for a variety of categories such as blind, transportation, cognitive disabilities and many more.
